Our wine is original in that it reunites all the differents soil type that characterise the appellation on it's 37 hectares.
It is divided over the different terraces surrounding the Lot river, made up of limestone under soil enriched with ancient alluvial and stones with clay and marl on the hillside.
.

Château Pineraie benefits from a soil situated partly on the second and third terraces of the Lot river, which have a soil with more clay than the first terraces and on the stony hillsides, where is not much earth. Therefore we can level out the irregularities of nature, using the diversity of each soil type and mix our wine in consequence.

To fully appreciate the subtleties of Château Pineraie, bring it to room temperature (about 16°) and uncork several hours before tasting, ideally pouring it into a carafe. You will make the most of all it's aromas.
