Made from 10 to 20 years old vines from the valley and lower hills, this wine is matured for 18 months in barrels and is powerful, balanced, and long in the mouth with a captivating nose. This wine will keep a long time in your cellar.

Désignation: Cuvée réservée des Tsars.
Bottle: 75 cl - Traditional Bordeaux bottle.
Cork: 49 mm natural.
Grape varieties: 80% Auxerrois, 20% Merlot.
Soil type: 2nd and 3rd terraces,lower hills, clay-with-flint.
Area: 8Ha.
Production: 55 Hl/Ha.
Wine making method: Traditional. Macerated 15 days in stainless steel vats, temperature controlled, programmed mixing.
Ageing: In oak barrels, 16 to 18 months.
Keeping: From 3 years to a maximum of 15 in a wine cellar.
Characteristics:
Colour: A pretty shade ranging from reddish-purple to a dark garnet colour.

Nose: Fresh, typical of this vintage, complex with a scent of crushed fruit, prunes and earthy, woody tones of mushrooms and truffles.
Taste: Gourmand, with comforting tannis, full and fleshy with an elegant structure, marrying delicateness and breeding for an excellent gastronomic feast.
Ideal temperature: 16° to 17°.

The jewel of the vineyard.. The oldest (between 20 to 70 years) and best exposed vines on the estate on the terraces and lower hills produce this wine, suitable for keeping a long time. It's aging in oak barrels for 2 years will help you appreciate it's exceptional taste in the mouth and it's scent of red fruits.

Our wines are often mentioned in food magazines such as Gault et Millau or Cuisines et Vins de France and have received awards from Mâcon, Blayais-Bourgeois and Paris and are extremely popular overseas (Europe, América).

Grape varieties : 95% Auxerrois, 5% Tannat
Soil type: Third level terraces, lower and upper hills, chalky-clay.
Surface (pour cette cuvée): 8Ha.
Area : 40 à 50 Hl/Ha.
Method : Traditional. Macered 15 to 21 days. Stainless steel vats, temperature controls, programmed processing.
Ageing : 18 to 20 months in oak barrels, a quarter in new barrels.
Keeping : 5 to 20 years maximum in a wine cellar.

Characteristics :
Colour : Beautiful, dense, dark ruby colour, beautiful depth.

Nose : Very pleasant, full in the mouth wih a good bite, the marriage of a pulpous, delicate, rounded body. Intense tannin.
Ideal temperature :17°
